About the Project
This eightplex will provide homes for about 25 people on Junction Road, including seven two-bedroom apartments and one one-bedroom apartment.
Two of the apartments will be fully accessible. The design is adaptable so other apartments can be made accessible, if needed.
Each apartment will have a patio or balcony. The apartments will include energy-efficient appliances and heat pumps, keeping apartments warm in winter and cool in summer.
Location and Community
The site is within a residential area and has sidewalks. It is within walking distance of a grocery store, pharmacy, hospital, schools and banks.
What’s Next
Interested companies have until August 18to submit proposals (https://biddingo.com/buildnovascotia) to finalize designs and build the two apartment buildings. Proposals will then be evaluated, and the contract will be awarded this fall.
Construction is expected to start next spring, keeping in mind that many factors can affect timelines. Timelines will continue to be updated on this page.
