About the Project
Dora Construction is building the 22 apartments using modular construction. The apartment building includes:
- 18 two-bedroom apartments, including eight accessible
- four one-bedroom apartments, all accessible
- a common room, with kitchen and bathroom
Location and Community
This apartment building is centrally located in Sackville, close to the downtown, shopping and other housing.
What’s Next
This summer, modular units – built at the Eastcut facility in Trenton over the winter – were transported to the Lower Sackville site and assembled. In late summer and fall, the units will be “stitched” together, including electrical and plumbing connections between the units. Other work includes shingling, siding, painting, waterproofing, and landscaping.
Nova Scotia Power also needs to install a transformer to power the building. We will provide an update on when the building will be ready for tenants after the installation of the generator is scheduled.
