About the Project
The Sunset Crescent project will provide homes for up to 24 families or individuals, with a mix of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments. The building will be energy-efficient, keeping apartments warm in winter and cool in summer. Some units will be fully accessible.
Location and Community
The site is close to existing seniors’ housing. It is also close to shopping, groceries, schools, the library and the local NSCC campus.
What’s Next
Nova Scotia-based firm zzap Architecture and Planning is now working on initial designs. This work will confirm the number and size of units, the size and shape of the buildings, roads or driveways to the site and other design details.

Construction should begin in spring 2026, subject to the tender responses.
